André Guimarães
PhD Student
André Guimarães holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Management. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Industrial Engineering and Management at the University of Beira Interior, with a doctoral scholarship from the Foundation for Science and Technology. He also completed additional training with a postgraduate degree in Industry 4.0 and Digital Transformation from the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto.
André has over a decade of professional experience as a Production Manager in the manufacturing industry and is currently a Guest Lecturer at the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu. He is the author of several scientific publications in the fields of Polymeric Materials, Industry 4.0, Digital Transformation, Lean Management, and Asset Management. He has also participated in various research projects.
